Thursdays through Saturdays

With tongue firmly in cheek, the Dysfunctional Theatre Company presents IL DUCE, a comic romp through the life and times of the 107th mayor of New York, from his boyhood in Brooklyn to his current role as "civic savior" and potential president of the United States. Relive the high and low points of Giuliani’s controversial career as a Federal prosecutor, U.S. attorney, and as "benevolent dictator" of the Big Apple.

IL DUCE was written and directed by Paul Wells, who also plays the role of Rudy Giuliani. The remaining cast of characters are performed by Bob Curren, Jim Ferazzi, Jeremy Guskin, Jennifer Howard, Jessica Klein, Jacobina Martin, Justin Plowman, and Kurt Roinestad, all playing multiple roles.

IL DUCE is the fourth production of the Dysfunctional Theatre Company, which incorporated as a non-profit company last year. The company’s premiere production, which enjoyed a long run in the summer and fall of 1997, was ALIEN SEX CULT CLONES MADONNA!, a satire of tabloid news. The sequel, PRINCESS DI'S BRAIN KEPT ALIVE IN GRACELAND! opened last winter to strong reviews.
